Practice · Foreign Filing
When a matter reaches beyond Taiwan.
Our practice is Taiwan. When your matter requires protection outside Taiwan, we coordinate foreign filings from a single point of contact through a network of local law firms — an extension of our work, not its center. We do not hold ourselves out as practicing foreign law directly.
What we handle
- Foreign filing coordination via the Madrid Protocol (trademarks), the Patent Cooperation Treaty (patents), and the Hague System (designs), where the applicant qualifies through a member country. Taiwan itself is not a member of these systems.
- Instruction and oversight of qualified local counsel in the destination jurisdiction.
- Single-point, English-language coordination of multi-jurisdiction portfolios anchored in Taiwan.
- Draft US applications and office-action responses prepared in Taiwan for registered US practitioners, who review, sign and file them and handle all communication with the USPTO, including examiner interviews.
